LxDisc
automatically produces DVDs sourced from a Pioneer LX1.
Used with a Rimage Producer Disc Publishing system,
LxDisc automatically downloads and burns existing DVD
disc images captured by a Pioneer PRV-LX1 broadcast
DVD authoring device.
LxDisc
uses the FTP protocol to interface to LX1 devices connected
to a network. LxDisc scans the network for available
LX1 devices and displays them in a tree view. Listed
under each LX1 device is the available DVD disc images
for production. To produce DVDs from the available disc
image, simply select it, set the number of desired copies
and optional merge file. LxDisc handles all operations
including FTP download, caching, and Rimage job submission.
LxDisc can export a job as a QuickDisc compatible file
for later production.
LxDisc
also features an unattended mode that automatically
downloads new disc images. LxDisc polls all LX1 devices
on the network at a set interval. When a new disc image
is detected, LxDisc downloads the image and saves it
in a pre-defined local or network location. Optionally,
LxDisc can automatically submit a Rimage job once automatic
download has been completed. Automatic job submission
uses a pre-defined QuickDisc job template that contains
a label file reference and copy count.
